static domain and seo?

Hi there I know my computers and web designs but I need a way of describing something to someone who does not know computers. I am doing the seo for his site. But someone told him that the best way to improve the seo is to get a static domain. How can I explain to him that does not make sense and that the best way to do it is the standard way of linking, tags etc. At first i thought he wanted a static site but he has a real estate company and his site is designed in Joomla so even that does not make sense. can someone help? thanks

Joomla's pretty good SEO-wise. I'd stick with that and just optimize the current website.

Way off on this one. Domains don't come static or dynamic. This strictly means IP address only. Shared hosting would be a static IP address. Dedicated or dynamic would be its own IP address and adversely not shared. For example are you hosting the site on your server or as I am guess one of the regular hosting companies out there. Dedicated would be needed if you want to run credit cards I.E. SSL...
