Most companies obviously don't want the webmaster to click on the ads provided for them, but also don't want false impressions. Well I, like others have a dilemma. From time to time I like to update my website with good quality and fresh content and in so doing I have to log into my WordPress site (CMS). After logging on to my site, I then post some content and refresh my webpage to ensure it looks good, sharp, and crisp. Because I went to my website, this in turn creates "false impressions". How do I remedy this so I don't get penalized by the companies.

I am an honest, fair individual and don't want to be a victim of circumstances.

The amount of your impressions are really low in comparison with the real user impressions that get tracked by the advertisers companies.

Plus you don't really know if your impressions are counted correctly unless you are using an independent tracking system cause most companies...show you less , to pay less.

Another thing to do is to exclude your ip from the impression tracking , talk with the advertisers you use for this.

Don't worry! Even if you do 1 mil. page views by yourself no one will count them. Ads providers are advanced and protected. Maybe you are honest but there are thousands that aren't. Its not up to you, just look on your content and let providers to care for the ads.

Well - this shouldn't be a problem. Will be a problem if you do this thousand times.

Anyway - you should consult your ads network how to delegate your IP address as your own and didn't count page refreshes.
