I've recently opened a store on FineArtAmerica and have received over 300 visits to view my work so far. Maybe I'm a little impatient, but I have not sold one thing as of yet. How do I turn these visits into sales? You can take a look at my work at the below link and let me know what you think, give me constructive critism and ideas on how to improve.

Hi Kimberly,

I would add some copy writing into each piece of art. Copy writing is the art of taking ordinary words and crafting them to sell your product. Unsure what that is check out http://www.themiddlefingerproject.org/ In my opinion Ashley is the queen of copy!

Here is another copy writing resource::http://www.copyblogger.com/copywriting-101

Hope this helps!

Hey Kim,

Your site looks great! But! You are missing the MOST important element of trying to do business online. Read this;

What is the statistic?

The National Sales Executive Association conducted a survey

that showed that the number of sales a person made depended

upon how many times the prospect was contacted. The statistic

shows that most sales are made between the 5th and the

12th contact.

Here’s the data the NSEA compiled:

2% of sales are made on the 1st contact

3% of sales are made on the 2nd contact

5% of sales are made on the 3rd contact

10% of sales are made on the 4th contact

80% of sales are made on the 5th - 12th contact

If you’re simply driving traffic to your site and you have no follow-up

mechanism, you’re losing 98% of your sales. Ouch!@#

You have got to set yourself up with an Autoresponder, I suggest a really great one like AWeber, they have the most beautiful and professional templates I've seen. And get a Lead Capture Form on that blog of yours TODAY! 300 visitors is nothing to sneeze at, you should be doing very well by now. When you have the ability to contact all of your visitors over and over again, your business will start to soar. Just go have a look, they can teach you everything you need to know.

Best of luck,

Don't think you'll need luck though

Your site is killer,

Kimberly, I have visited your profile and I have a few suggestions to make :)

1) A website dedicated to you and your brand.

- Think of it as your own store. displaying your art work and talking with art

enthusiast such as yourself.

2) Google Analytics - will help u track your website and customer behavior.

-It would be like have cameras in your store tracking how long people stay and what

they are interested in the most

3) Marketing - Whether it be free or paid. You will only find customers from people who are not

only interested in your work. but ready to purchase your creations.

3a. Marketing is just the action of displaying your work to crowds of people who would be interested,

and likely to purchase your work.

4) Website Optimization - Overtime with enough visits to your website (even before). there will be enough data to improve your website "Conversion Rate". That means if 1% of visitors buy from your site a week (Lets say out of 500 visitors). an expert will come in to optimize it to 3% or 5%. Which of course, is a big deal.

I hope you find success in pursuing your passion. I wish you the best : )
