I've got a couple of really helpful websites. I've submitted my site to every search engine that I know of. I've done the keywords and phrases and have my meta tags done. Still I'll search for my site and it doesn't rank very high...
Is there a way to get my websites higher in the rankings with out spending a billion dollars?
Thanks for any help.

If you don't have money, than it will take you time. Build a good website with unique and useful content. Pick up the book Search Engine Marketing Inc. optimize the website, pick good keywords that you can rank on that are relevant. And then in the three months you are waiting for Yahoo! to rank your website well get as many links as you can to get better rankings in Google.

Hello,

Search engine optimization (SEO) is your starting point for getting traffic. After all, Google has to "like" your web pages, and people have to be able to find them. All SEO means is making your pages human and Google friendly.

Your website needs soe friendly search engines.

The first criterion (often overlooked) is to have great content! Your goal is to build traffic. Why would anyone even want to come to your website if there's nothing interesting there to see?

Your pages need to be built around specific keyword phrases that people use to find sites like yours. How do you know what keyword phrases people use to search? You have to use a tool like WordTracker's free keyword tool, or Google's external keyword tool. What you really need is something like WordTracker's paid keyword tool, but if you're new to internet marketing, that can come later.

Another great "free" way to create traffic is to write articles (like the one you're reading) and put them on article directories. Readers see the articles and click through your links to your site. This is a great way to get qualified traffic!

You have to do some link building process for your websites:

Link building methods:

1. Submission to directories

2. Article Directory Submissions

3. Blog Comment

4. Forum Postings

5. Link exchanges

Use this process we can get traffic easily....

Get links to other sites. Your URL should also have your major keyword in it.

Post on blogs and other related forums, and always include a link to your site in the reply or as part of your signature.

Write articles about your sites and post them on article directories such as ezinearticles.com and goarticles.com

Put a link to your site in all your emails.

Meta tags don't make a big difference on search engines. However, a superb Meta DESCRIPTION will!
