If you really want to use your referral link to make money then I would suggest article marketing. You can write articles that are helpful to people that would be interested in clicking on your link. Then take your articles and submit them to article websites, They will have a resource box where you put information about yourself and then you can include your referral link. This method is free to do, and people are making a lot of money doing it.
