How to get more member for my new forum?

I have started a new forum at http://www.ALEZAC.com

This forum is a Marketplace for:

Buying
Selling
Trading
Exchange
Auction
Freebies

for Internet Marketing Products.

Now, a small problem, how to get the words out to get more people to register!

well posting this question my attract people haha. I would say word to mouth is the best thing though. If someone joins and likes it, they will tell people they know.

Right now is not the time for widespread promotion of your forum. You gotta get some posts on there or people will come and go real quick.



Make some posts yourself - have friends, business associates join and post. Right now it looks like a vast wasteland.

Assuming that you are a member of other related forums you might want to invite a few members of those other forums to help get things started.



Once you have some content that might encourage a new visitor to join and start posting then you should start promoting.

While it's not something that guarantees traffic it also doesn't cost anything, so why not try it?

Any sort of promotion / contest / giveaway, etc.



Such as, if users post X number of posts in Y number of days, they'll go into a drawing for prize Z. It works, but you need to make sure it's something people actually want.

Start a lens at squidoo. Have one blog linking it to your lens. Post good content and let it be picked up by search engines. You will get traffic in 5 to 6 months if you are lucky.
