what should be the segmentation process for Laptop ?

i am a b-school student and want to know what DELL, IBM,HP do think before launching there laptop ?

I dunno know how these companies segment their products (in particular)?



but yeah the obivious basis of segmentation could b -

1. income level

2. net savvy users

3. business class ppl (who often fly for work)

4. software guys (i mean co's.), who demonstrate their softwares at the customers end

5. plush offices and so on...
