It really all depends on what you have to sell. Whatever it is, make sure it is extra clean & in good repair. Display it well/ For instance if it's a table, put a pretty doily or scarf in the middle & set a pretty vase, cruet or other fancy in the middle. Place your best item or at least the most eye catching item right out in front so it will draw folks to your booth. Be ready to bargain. Always be friendly and as helpful as possible. I would suggest that you don't take ANY checks from anyone. Saves a lot of hassle.
Sure hope this helps. Yes, I have done it & yes I made money at it. Didn't get rich from it as I only did it once a month but sure did enjoy it.

depends on what u sell
if u already have goods, go to the flea and see if anyone else is also selling it and how much
if u dont have goods yet ,go see what does and doesn't sell(see what people are carrying)
rentals can get expensive if u aren't making any sales
the biggest market is not always the best
smaller markets with good traffic are better
good luck,it can also be alot of fun
i've meet alot of great people there(buyers and sellers)
